ARIEA (MONARCHY)
The Kingdom of Ariea is an ancient monarchy that once long ago united Arcacia under its noble high king. Today, this once proud city and nation struggles to rebuild following the devistation of the Daemon Wars. Arieans are fair skinned with blue or brown eyes and brown, black or blond hair. Human 70%, Elves 20%, Other 10%. |
BALADOR (PRINCIPALITY)
Balador is ruled by the eldest prince of the noble line when they come of age. The horse lords of Balador value freedom and the open plains above all else. Baladorans are a taller and tanned people with black, brown and blonde hair and brown, blue or green eyes. Human 85%. Dwarf 5%, Other 10%. |
BLACKMOOR (OLIGARCHY)
Blackmoor is named for the large swamp region making up much of this small nation. It is ruled by the same family that settled the area long ago and is known for its lawlessness and dark nature. Blackmoorites are shorter with dark hair and eyes and nobles often have tattoos of their house crest. Human 90%, Halfling 5%, Other 5%. |
BORDERLANDS (DISPUTED TERRITORY)
The Borderlands currently operate on an armistice between Nordmahr and the Caliphate following a two year war between the two nations. This territory is still largely populated by the Nords and tension is high despite the truce. The people of Gahl make matters worse but not recognizing either sides claim. Human 95%, Other 5%. |
CHAN DORA (EMPIRE)
The oriental empire of Chan Dora is among the oldest of the realms. The imperial family has ruled this island nation for thousands of years, though not without conflict. The Chan Dorans are a short people with olive skin, almond shaped black eyes and they almost exclusively have dark hair. Human 95%, Other 5%. |
CYRIA (THEOCRACY)
Cyria is ruled by an appointed Archbishop of the Concordant Religion and a council of bishops representing each of the nine gods. They also appoint a steward to rule the nation from their capital city. Cyrians have a ruddy complexion with black or brown hair and brown or hazel eyes. Human 75%, Dwarf 15%, Other 10%. |
DRAKMAHR (UNCLAIMED TERRITORY)
Drakmahr is an inhospitable land of searing heat and desert sand. It is unclaimed and unspoiled with the notable exception of the rumored dragons that are said to thrive in this isolated region of the realm. It is also though that many Daemon fled to this region following the end of the war. Human 5%, Other 95%. |
GAHL (TRIBAL)
The natives of Gahl are primitive warlike barbarians from the far east. Their is no government structure among the Gahl, each tribe has a Khan that leads them. Raiders and pillagers, the Gahl tribes have rarely been unified but when they are they become a danger to all the lands of the region. Human 85%, Other 15%. |
MAGUS TARA (MAGOCRACY)
Magus Tara is an island chain ruled by the Order of Magi, a powerful group of wizards who control the recruitment and training of nearly all wizards in the realm. They also have towers in almost every major western city. They are led by an appointed Grand Magus and High Council. Human 80%, Elf 5%, Dwarf 5%, Halfling 5%, Gnome 5%. |
MALKETH (MONARCHY)
Malketh was founded by a rogue knight who would become a king. The royal family has ruled this kingdom since the fall of the Old Kings with an iron fist and strict laws. Malketh is known for its strong army and strict laws. Malkites are tall and fit and have blonde, black or brown hair and blue or brown eyes. Human 95% , Other 5%. |
MIER' RIAL (MATRIARCHY)
The Island Nation of Mier' Rial is home to a xenophobic, female warrior society descended from ancient bloodlines. Men here are a subservient labor class. The Queen is elected and serves for life. Mierans are unusually tall and fit, they have black, brown or blonde hair with blue, brown and green eyes common. Human 95%, Other 5%. |
NORDMAHR (TRIBAL)
Nordmahr does not have a single unifying government but rather a series of thanes that rule their own territories and on occasion work with the other tribes toward common goals. Nords are tall and fair skinned with black, brown or blonde hair and brown, blue or green eyes. Human 85%, Dwarf 10%, Other 5%. |
NUMERIA (MERITOCRACY)
Numeria is the youngest nation of the realm, made of craftsmen and artisans. They are ruled by a council made up of those who have demonstrated the greatest ability and skill in their craft. Numerians vary widely in appearance, drawing newcomers from all across the realm. Human 55%, Gnome 25%, Dwarf 15%, Other 5%. |
QADIR (THEOCRACY)
Qadir is a religious caliphate that worships various old gods. Powerful religious zealots fight endlessly for the title of Caliph until they are removed and a new regime takes over. The Qadish have dark brown skin with dark black hair and brown eyes and the more primitive natives have black skin, hair and eyes. Human 90%, Other 10%. |
RIVERLANDS (ARISTOCRACY)
The Riverlands are ruled by a few noble families with the eldest male serving as King. The Riverlands have only recently claimed their independence and still struggle to define their borders. Riverlanders are of average height and often have black or brown hair and brown or blue eyes. Human 85% , Elf 5%, Dwarf 5%, Other 5%. |
SHAR (DEMARCHY)
Shar is a nation that was overthrown by a bloody slave revolt and the black natives took control of their former masters. It is named after the woman who led the uprising. The nation now elects from a nominated pool of citizens their leader or Demarch. Sharites have black skin with dark hair and eyes. Human 95%, Other 5%. |
TARSIS (OLIGARCHY)
Tarsis is an Oligarchy ruled by the self proclaimed wealthiest of nobles. The city of Freeport is one of the largest cities in the realm and home to the Lords of Tarsis. Tarsians are shorter with black or brown hair and brown or hazel eyes. Tarsians are known for their fondness of tattoos. Human 80%, Dwarf 5%, Halfling 5%, Other 10%. |
THE CALIPHATE (THEOCRACY)
The Caliphate is an ancient theocracy devastated by war that follows an old god long forgotten by most. The ancient temple of Anwar, this nations crown jewel, is said to hold powerful holy magic. People of the Caliphate are mostly considered religious zealots. They have dark skin, dark hair and eyes. Human 95%, Other 5%. |
THE REACH (UNCLAIMED TERRITORY)
The Reach is a vast unclaimed and inhospitable territory in the far north. It is largely uninhabited save some native barbarian tribes, various dangerous creatures and most notably a large population of giants. It is unclear how far north the reach extends as few dare to venture past its natural barriers. Human 5%, Other 95%. |
VALENCIA (MATRIARCHY)
Valencia is ruled by a Queen of a noble line, who's principal duty is to sire daughters to carry on the tradition. Men are not second class citizens but rather trusted advisors, generals and friends. Valencians are fair skinned with brown, blonde or red hair and brown, blue or hazel eyes. Human 85%, Elf 5%, Dwarf 5%, Other 5%. |
XANDAR (MAGOCRACY)
Xandar is a mysterious nation ruled by a Triumvirate of draconic priests. Xandar is highly xenophobic and allows only special visitors to its major cities and temples. Xandarans nobility has many different strange hues to their skin tone and eyes, commoners have dark skin, hair and eyes. Human 90%, Dwarf 5%, Other 5%. |
ZEPHYRIA (SULTANATE)
Zephyria or more accurately the free city of Zephryn is ruled by powerful Sultans who quibble over territory in one of the largest and most exotic cities of the realm. Zephyrians are a shorter people with dark brown skin, dark black hair and brown eyes, black skin is also prevalent among commoners. Human 95%, Other 5%. |
ELVEN LANDS
FAE WOOD (HIGH ELVES)
The High Elves or Sylvan of Arcacia inhabit many of the large forested areas of the realm but the largest population base can be found in or near the Fae Wood and their capital city of Ehyrndhel. High Elves are organized by houses, the noble houses ruling their territory and the royal house ruling them all. |
SHADOWDEEP (DARK ELVES)
The Dark Elves also called Drow or Veryn dwell deep under the Spire Mountains in vast networks of caves. Their largest settlement is Shadowdeep, a vast underground city said to rival the largest surface cities of the realms. Dark Elves are also organized by house, though without a royal house the noble houses compete for dominance. |
WILDERUN (WILD ELVES)
The Wild Elves or Morwyn call the Wilderun their home though they can be found in almost every forested region of the realm. Wild Elves are more xenophobic than other elves and tend to live in more isolated conditions. Wild Elves split from High Elf rule long ago and each noble house rules its own territory with no royal houses to speak of. |
DWARVEN LANDS
THE TRACKLESS MOUNTAINS (MOUNTAIN DWARVES)
Mountain Dwarves are rarer than their Hill Dwarf cousins and largely dwell in Rockholm on the southern side of the Trackless Mountains, though smaller clans can be found in many of the various mountainous regions of the realm. Mountain Dwarves are organized by Clan and led by an elected King from a noble line, though few now exist. |
THE SPIRES (HILL DWARVES)
Hill Dwarves can be found in nearly every realm though they hail originally from Hammerfall in The Spires range. Hill Dwarves, much like Gnomes and Halflings, have also integrated into many human settlements where they practice their skillful trades. The Clans rule themselves now since the noble clans have all but disappeared. |
